News recently broke that Jake Paul’s November 14th exhibition against Gervonta “Tank” Davis, slated to take place in Atlanta, was on ice after promoters withdrew their petition to the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission (GAEC) ahead of a scheduled meeting tomorrow. Uncrowned’s Darshan Desai reports and MVP confirms that the fight will take place at Kaseya Center in MVP’s usual stomping grounds of Miami, Florida.
Per USA Today, MVP had submitted a waiver request to the GAEC to accommodate the >65-pound weight disparity. Chairman Rick Thompson had publicly lambasted the proposed bout, and it appears as though Paul (12-1, 7 KO) and co. elected to cut bait and relocate to a more accommodating state.
It’s a very Florida sort of matchup to begin with, so might as well put it where it belongs. We’ll keep you posted as the card comes together.
